Workshop on Assessment of regional cross-border impacts of solid waste management in rural and coastal areas 19.10.2015
Read moreThe main aim of the workshop is implementation of the first step of the “Method for Assessing Environmental and Economic Impacts”. The Method itself includes Baseline Analyses focused on Waste Generation and Composition & Waste Management Practices in the coastal area, identification of the Environmental Hotspots and Pollution Agents, as well as the Migration Paths & Migration Drivers. Impact Assessment which includes Priority Waste Streams, assessment of Environmental, Health and Economic Impacts on National and Regional Scale (Transboundary Context) is an integral part of the Method. Mitigation Measures and Integrated Solid Waste Management Model for cross-border coastal area will be result coming out of the baseline and impact assessment. Read moreThe second edition of NALAS’ Summer School on Local Governance and Intergovernmental Fiscal Relations and Urban Governance will be devoted to Property taxation in South East Europe. A series of Quick response activities in the past year were related to Property tax reforms and revealed that virtually all NALAS members are facing new legislative initiatives in this area, and that there is great interest both in understanding regional trends and in developing. Therefore the Summer School will be a combination of training and peer-exchange on current reforms of the property taxation in the region.
